On Saturday, June 11, 2022, Nautische Unie Hunfeld BV, Henry’s Anglingshop and Guiding Service Groningen are organizing the Predator Challenge 2022. After the success of last year, the same group of enthusiastic entrepreneurs and volunteers will be organizing the second edition of the Predator Challenge. New this year are 2 leaderboards ! 1 for the Oldambtmeer and 1 for the Schildmeer! A number of overall prizes will also be awarded.
Challenge
The unique (or Challenge) aspect of this predator fishing competition is the fact that fishing takes place on several designated waters. The waters to be fished are Oldambtmeer and Schildmeer. Drawing on the day of the competition determines who is going to fish on which water. 30 boats go to Oldambtmeer and 30 boats to Schildmeer. Exchanging allocated water is not possible. A marshall boat from the competition management is available per water.
Lure Only
The Predator Challenge is a Lure Only competition. Fishing is only permitted with lures and it is not permitted to fish with dead bait. All techniques from the boat are also permitted.
Number of participants / boats
A maximum of 60 boats with 2 fishermen per boat (no more and no less) can participate in this Predator Challenge. Register quickly because full is really full! The boats are checked in the morning. The boats are labeled with the motor. Only boats with a label can participate in the Predator Challenge.
Costs
The costs for participation are € 75,00 per boat. You can only register via the Visgids Groningen website. Read the competition rules carefully before you register. It is provided for: coffee upon receipt measuring tape / board catch stickers a beautiful, well-filled prize table a warm buffet after the game
Catch registration
It is a Catch / Photo / Release competition. The photos of the catches must be sent to the competition management using a smartphone. The catches are sent to the organization via a simple but smart link, just like last year. Catches with catch stickers must all be photographed and shown on request. As a participant, it is in any case mandatory to have a smartphone with Whats App installed. For further details, please refer to the competition rules.

Starting location: Nautische Unie Farmsum registration between 5.30 a.m. and 7 a.m.
7.15 am briefing to all participants
7.30 am departure to competition waters
8.30 a.m. start of competition (after Marshall boat launch signal)
4 pm end of the match. No catches may be submitted after 4 p.m.
between 4 pm and 5 pm all back to the starting location
5.30 pm buffet start with subsequent prize giving

The race course
Fishing takes place on 2 waters. In the morning when the competition equipment is handed out, the water is allocated by boat during the draw. It is not allowed to trade. View the waters here.
Prices
Because there were huge differences in the numbers of catches at the previous edition, the organization decided to make 2 separate leaderboards.
